  • Great post apocalyptic atmosphere

Pretty good horror/drama . I don’t really have an issue with the “woke” stuff as it’s in everything now. But that stuff feels really forced and pointless in this show. Don’t let it stop you from watching though as it’s great otherwise
  • Just watch a play through of the game

Don’t waste your time on this Walking Dead wannabe. The game is better just go to YouTube and watch a play through.
  • Makes the story even better

Best video game adaptation and it’s not even close. Didn’t think this story could be more humanized and believable, but they did it. Every change from the game to film felt tasteful and true to what TLOU is really about. Looking forward to how they tell the story in season 2.
  • Woke garbage

Nope. Refuse to support this woke garbage content any longer. The videogame was a masterpiece, and to swap races in order to fulfill some DEI requirement is beyond evil, and RACIST! Also, can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for a homosexual love story in zombieland…. Just DEI propaganda shoved down your throat each and every episode. DO NOT WATCH
  • Outstanding Game To TV Production

I was going to be very negative & not like this show. After all there is a graveyard full of fails in this department, is there not? But the. It came on, I was blown away. It literally was the best adaptation of a series that I’ve ever seen. Of course there are differences & minor changes because you can’t do 100% word for word. Real life can’t always mimic what is done on a computer game. However, it’s as close as you can get. Ok, so I’m obviously blown away & love it.

  • Incredible Adaptation Of The Last Of Us

Truth be told I never played The Last Of Us games until the series was announced and then I bought the games. I played the first game for a little bit and then watched the first episode. It was freaking amazing it stuck close to the opening scene of the game and the script was tweaked a little bit but, I’m cool with it. This is literally the best adaptation I’ve ever seen, it’s 110% better than the Uncharted movie. The casting is incredible( although they could’ve done a little better with Ellie) Pedro plays a great Joel and Belle she has the spunk and foul language Ellie has. One word of caution: the second to last episode there is an attempted rape scene. It doesn’t go into graphic detail but the words that are used and some of the fight sequences make it clear what’s happening. This is an UNBELIEVABLE AMAZING show I highly recommend watching. I can’t wait for Season 2,3 and hopefully 4

  • Probably one of the best shows on TV

Initially was skeptical because this is an adaptation of a video game and past adaptations have been bad. The best phrase to describe this is “horrifying, yet beautiful.” This show takes it to a whole other level, it’s INTENSE, being a apocalyptic horror-survival show, sticking to the source material where applicable, adapting where they need to, and deviating to further develop the characters or story (often in unexpected ways). Going on the premise of the unconditional love between a parent and child, the story shows how far a parent is willing to go and the things they will do for who they love. The continuity of the story is tight, events in the last episode reference what happened in the first ones, the characters are nuanced & complex, just like real life, & the cinematography and VFC are awesome (mostly, with a couple of missteps). Probably as equally profound is the podcast hosted by Troy Baker who plays Joel In the video game who interviews the game creator Neil Druckmann & show runner Craig Mazin (who did the Hangover sequels, Scary Movie sequels, and a small show called Chernobyl). Very deep insight into human nature (probably b/c Mazin has a degree in psychology) and delves deep into the characters, filling in the blanks from the episode because maybe you were too traumatized to notice.
